Keds Century Collection

Keds basically invented the sneaker in 1916 and the company has decided to pay homage to their roots with limited edition reproductions of original designs. The first of the series is "Champions Take Flight", which recreates a classic 1910 design. To say we are excited about this series, would be an understatement. All we have to do is find one of the limited 200 pairs that are made. Hmmmm.

Sackers Gothic Font

My love-affair with the font Gotham continues and I recently stumbled upon a close relative called "Sackers Gothic". The typeface comes in three simple weights and man are they nice.

Beautiful Package Design

This packaging for Perricone MD is so simple and so perfect. I love the caramel color bottles with all of the white space left open on the labeling. The typeface is right on as well. This is a perfect example of minimalism and classic styling done right. I want to buy these products simply for the design.

Delicious Design League

I discovered a great little design firm out of Chicago. They are called Delicious Design League and their style is amazing. The work is part of a current popular style mixing print-making aesthetics with modern digital production. Check them out for great posters and various bits of collateral.

The Sartorialist

I am late to discovering The Sartorialist blog that has swept the fashion world. The idea comes from a long-time fashion industry member as he sought to find fashion trends by observing the general public (a novel idea I know), and it has proven that often the simplicity of an idea is what makes it great. The site is constantly updated with photographs of highly-fashionable people throughout the world as they simply go about their day. I love to look at the offbeat combinations that people wear, in addition to the classic threads that are never wrong.

Incredible Vintage PanAm Posters

I came across a recently uncovered collection of  PanAm posters from the 70's that are displayed at MOMA. These posters are beautiful and simply showcase colorful images of destinations along with Helvetica type. I wish that there was a way to own a copy of these because they would look great in a frame. I feel like this is what a travel poster should be.
